A great joy is coming....

First off, I must apologize for the delay between now and my last blog. I can honestly understand now what it means when people say, "time flies when your having fun"! These last few months have been packed with paperwork, visits to the adoption agency, family visits, and what else-work. We completed our last adoption class, which brought a mixture of feelings-a sense of excitement & anticipation that one finish line, of many to come, had been finally crossed; a feeling of sadness because Alex and I had made so many wonderful friends; and a feeling of hope of what was to come next. We are thrilled to FINALLY have our profile online & are excited to have so many amazing birth mothers out there who get to learn about us.

I will do my very best to keep this blog as up to date as I can from now on!

In the picture above, I'm hanging out with my older sister while visiting her and her family. Her and I are especially close & we love getting together for barbeques, movie nights, or picking up dinner at Red Robin! Vacation with my family is always such a blast. I'm not one of those people that needs alot to make me happy or to make things fun. Just being around good people, taking it easy, is when I'm most happy!
The picture next to my sisters, was taken at my birthday party thrown for me by my in-laws. It was a surprise from my husband-what a great guy! I always feel so lucky when I look into those kind eyes of his.
The last picture is of me and my precious niece. She is my little buddy and I look forward to her sweet smile everytime we got to visit. She is so tender to his younger sister, and does so much to help her Mom and Dad. Many days, when I have been feeling down or discouraged, she always seems to know what to say or when to give a hug. I believe all children have the sense of understanding; they may be small, but they have a way of seeing straight through to your heart.
We are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives. We have supportive & incredible parents and siblings who I know, has shaped Alex and I into the people we are today.
To anyone reading this, I hope you have a fantastic Memorial Day weekend!
Stay tuned....
